Wedding Venue Highlight: Riverway Clubhouse

Riverway Clubhouse in Burnaby is one of my favourite venues for a few key reasons:

1) The management and staff are amazing. They are very friendly, professional, and will do their best to accommodate each couple's needs. In the end, all they want is to ensure each couple has a smooth, stress free day with delicious food and attentive service.

2) The venue carries itself with high ceilings supported by tall wooden beams, windows all around that span from the ground up to the ceiling, and surrounding wooden structures that have been maintained well and look beautiful no matter what your wedding themes/colours may be. There is a large foyer upon entry that you can put your creative minds to use in terms of decorating and space planning (often used as a photobooth, audio phonebook, ice-cream cart, welcome area), which then leads to the main dining room itself. Vancouver wedding decorator will love the fact that the front doors are large enough to haul in all their large items and boxes and enjoy all the space they have to organize and sort out all the wedding decorations before actually putting them in place.

3) Ceremony: If your wedding ceremony takes place during the warmer seasons, you're probably more than likely going to have it outside by the pond. During this time, the flower beds and pots are lush and colourful, the skies are blue, and the grass is bright and lively. Riverway recently replaced their older folding chairs with the white resin folding chairs and added some new beautiful patio furniture so the outside area is a great place for cocktail hour. The other bonus is that if the weather doesn't go according to plan, you have the option of moving it inside with the altar facing the big tall windows or even on the outside of the entrance to the restaurant where it is covered. Any vancouver wedding planner will love the many different options this venue has for your wedding ceremony! 

4) Food: The food is consistent in terms of taste and quality at Riverway! Though it's nothing extremely different or unique, the food is good and you can always expect no huge surprises. They have a set buffet and plated dinner menu that can be customized/upgraded if you discuss and chat with the kitchen and management team. You will never run out of food here as they serve generous portions for both dinner and dessert.

5) Decor: My team does a lot of the decor here, mainly draping and backdrops. But we also provide arches, flowers, centerpieces, custom signs and pieces, aisle runners, vases, candles, you name it! We pride on it and know the space so well so we know exactly what to bring and how long it will take.
